Balochistan Completes Digitization Of Land Record.

Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Information, Mr. Mitha Khan Kakar, announced the successful digitization of land records across the province. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, prevent corruption, and prevent land grabbing. The government of Balochistan is currently undertaking a comprehensive digitization drive across all departments. Kakar highlighted the vision of the Chief Minister, which includes providing digital facilities in Gwadar, Pishin, Jaffarabad, and Quetta, such as individual registries, maps, land tax, and collection SMS services.

Additionally, an agreement with Google has been signed to grant scholarships to 3,000 Balochistan youth, encouraging IT education and supporting economic development. The spokesperson of the Balochistan government, Farah Azim Shah, emphasized that the introduction of the land revenue management system would solve people’s problems related to land management, with easy access to online information from their homes. Moreover, the IT facilities and training programs, including the scholarships offered by Google, will particularly benefit the youth. The Chief Minister plans to restart development work across the province as federal government funding arrives, while the government remains committed to promoting digitalization and addressing the province’s challenges.
