The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad has introduced a new automated system to ease property transfers for owners of multi-million worth properties. Previously, the process was complex and time-consuming, involving multiple directorates. Now, citizens can apply for property transfer appointments online from their homes.
Under the new system, each case will be assigned a number, and applicants can track their progress at every step. This will eliminate the need for individuals
The system is linked with the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) to verify the identities of parties involved in the transfer. The integration allows for instant verification of photos and thumb impressions from NADRA.
The Member Estate of CDA, Afnan Alam Khan, confirmed the launch of the system, aiming to introduce efficiency and responsibility while curbing fake transfer letters.
This move comes after the authority faced issues with fake files, backdating, and bogus allotments. The new system will enhance transparency and streamline property transfers for the citizens of Islamabad.
