CDA and KP Govt Join hands to construct Sikandar-e-Azam Road to promote Gandhara Tourism

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government have joined hands to construct the Skindar-e-Azam road to promote Gandhara tourism.

According to details, this joint road project, spanning 20 kilometers, is expected to be completed within four months. However, carpeting the road in the Margalla Hills would take an additional six months.
Under the collaboration, the CDA will handle the carpeting of the 7.5-kilometer stretch from Margalla Expressway to village Kenthla via Shah Allah Dita. On the other hand, the KP government will take responsibility for completing the remaining part of the Skindar-e-Azam road up to Khanpur.

The National Highway Authority (NHA) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) are actively engaged in working on this project.
The completion of this road project will create a shorter route between Islamabad and Haripur, leading to significant savings in fuel and time. Additionally, it will reduce the travel time to reach Khanpur Lake by 30 minutes.
