LDA City Allottees to Receive Plot Possessions After 11 Years

After an extended period of over 11 years, allottees in LDA City are poised to finally take possession of their plots. This significant update emerged from a meeting led by Lahore Commissioner and LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting underscored the readiness to hand over plot possessions within the Jinnah Sector C Block of LDA City.

In the initial phase, possessions of plots measuring 5, 10 marlas, as well as one and two kanal plots, are being allocated to the more than 1,500 C Block allottees. The sector, encompassing 1,200 kanals, boasts amenities such as parks, a sports complex, a cricket stadium, and more, enhancing the value and appeal of the LDA City plots.

The construction of the Chenab Road Bridge has reached its structural completion, with finishing touches currently underway. Progress is also seen at the facilitation centre, and steps towards acquiring the remaining land of the Jinnah sector are underway with the impending issuance of award notices.

The resolution to the long-standing issues faced by LDA City allottees comes on the heels of directives from the caretaker CM Punjab. This marks a significant milestone for all stakeholders involved. The meeting saw the attendance of key LDA personnel, including the Additional DG Headquarters, the Director of LDA City, and the Project Director.

For LDA City allottees, the protracted 11-year wait for plot possession is drawing to a close, heralding a new chapter of development and fulfillment of commitments.
