NAB Announces Policy to Counter Housing Scheme Frauds.

Lt Gen (retired) Nazir Ahmad, the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), has revealed a new policy aimed at combating fraud in housing schemes. Speaking at an event held in honor of Anti-Corruption Day, he highlighted the alarming statistic that 7 out of 10 people fall victim to fraud in housing schemes. In order to protect urban residents from such fraudulent activities, NAB Lahore has developed this policy in collaboration with the Punjab government.

During the event, Lt Gen Ahmad praised the efforts of NAB DG and officers in their successful initiatives to combat corruption. He emphasized that the core mission of NAB is to return looted funds to their rightful owners. However, he acknowledged that there are still many individuals awaiting justice and emphasized the need for sustained and significant efforts to address this issue.

To raise awareness about corruption, a weeklong campaign will also be launched. This campaign will aim to educate the public about the risks associated with fraudulent housing schemes.

This new policy and awareness campaign are essential steps towards protecting individuals from falling victim to fraud in the housing sector.
