Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha confirmed on Monday (January 8, 2024) that the Rawalpindi Ring Road project is on schedule for timely completion. During his inspection at the Ring Road Project Camp Office, Chatha was briefed on the latest developments and subsequently evaluated construction segments stretching from Khasala Khurd to Thalian Interchange.

Commissioner Chatha emphasized that any construction negligence would be strictly dealt with, ensuring the highest quality standards. The comprehensive plan includes constructing five interchanges, eleven overpasses, and multiple bridges across two rivers, six canals, besides a railway bridge and fifteen subways to enhance connectivity.
Additionally, the Ring Road will offer facilities such as a rest area for commuters. This infrastructure is positioned as a significant boon to Rawalpindi’s locals, promising new employment opportunities and streamlined traffic flow.

Emphasizing the importance of the project, Chatha stated, “The Rawalpindi Ring Road will be a significant asset and gift to the community.” He also mentioned that adjacent societies would not obstruct the project’s path, ensuring its seamless progression.
