CEO Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) Mr. Imran Amin signed an MoU with Strategic Communications Organisation (SCO) at RUDA headquarters for communication and IoT requirements of its Chaharbagh Smart City project.
It includes the laying of fiber optics, the establishment of a command and control center, and IoT solutions for urban excellence in the upcoming Chaharbagh Smart City project.
CDA board approves to auction 45 different categories of plots.

In order to fulfill the growing needs of the city especially to fund multiple development projects worth billions of rupees, the civic authority has decided to auction 45 plots of different categories across the city.
A special board meeting was held on Thursday at CDA headquarter in Islamabad which was chaired by the chief commissioner of Islamabad and chairman CDA Capitan Retired Noor ul Ameen Mengal. The meeting was also attended by other board members in which a single agenda related to the auctioning of 45 plots were presented by the Member Estate Afnan Alam Khan.

CDA Plans to Launch City District Business Center along Margalla Avenue
The Islamabad city managers are planning to establish a new business center called the city district business (CDB) along Margalla Avenue in Zone I of the city. The CDA has acquired approximately 5,400 kanals of land in the said area, mostly in sector C-16, which will be developed for mix commercial use, mainly for apartments. The proposal was discussed in a board meeting held on Thursday, and Member (Planning) Waseem Hayat Bajwa confirmed that the plan was shared with the board. The CDA plans to hire a consultant, likely a government-owned consultant firm, to design the area in question. Once the design is finalized, the CDA will commence development of the CDB, which will offer apartments to overseas Pakistanis. It is noteworthy that the proposed site of the new CBD falls in Zone I, where construction is allowed.
Capital Smart City Islamabad postponed development charges.
In a newsletter issued on 5th May 2023, the management of Capital Smart City Islamabad has decided to postpone development charges in the following blocks;
Overseas Central Block and Harmony Park Block Until Oct 31, 2023.
Overseas East Block (part of current balloting) and Overseas Prime Block Until May 31, 2023.
Blue World City is organizing a Polo Tournament.

Lahore Smart City Suspends Balloting Event.
The balloting event for the “Overseas One” and “Executive One” blocks, originally scheduled for May 13th, 2023, has been delayed by the management of Lahore Smart City. The decision was made in light of the current law and order situation prevailing in the country, as the society prioritizes the safety of its valued customers and employees above all else.
