The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Plans to Build Pakistan’s Largest IT Park in Islamabad.

The CDA revealed its ambitious plan to construct the country’s largest IT Park in Islamabad, situated in Sector G-10. Spanning a massive 3.3 acres, this project has received the green light from the authority.
Emphasizing the strategic importance of this initiative, the CDA highlighted the meticulous planning and allocation of a specific plot for this ground-breaking project. The Islamabad IT Park will be established through a Public Private Partnership model, blending governmental vision with private sector expertise.

Envisioned as a vibrant center of technological innovation, the park will cover an impressive 100,000 square feet, hosting around 5,000 to 6,000 freelancers, startups, and software houses.
The CDA officials elaborated on the park’s multifaceted offerings, including a library, exhibition spaces for IT products, research centers, conference halls, and meeting rooms. Financial responsibility for building the IT Park will rest solely on private entities, reflecting a collaborative approach.

Private companies will lease space within the park to set up their IT offices, enabling economic growth and job opportunities in the tech sector. After 15 years, operational control of the Islamabad IT Park will transition back to the CDA, showcasing a long-term commitment to nurturing Pakistan’s technological infrastructure.
