The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and Central Business District Development Authority (CBDDA) of Pakistan made a significant presence at the Shanghai Property and Investment Expo. Mansoor Ahmad Jangua, COO of RUDA and CBDDA, delivered a keynote address outlining the government’s ambitious vision for these projects. He emphasized Punjab’s commitment to establishing itself as a leading IT hub through targeted investments in infrastructure development, robust policy frameworks, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Jangua underscored the alignment of RUDA and CBDDA initiatives with the strategic goals of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. These projects aim to position Punjab at the forefront of global technological innovation by nurturing local talent, attracting foreign investment, and promoting collaboration. This approach, Jangua explained, will lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth and competitiveness in the digital era.

Jangua further elaborated on the government’s dedication to fostering a thriving IT sector. The development of an IT knowledge park within the CBD area and a dedicated IT city within RUDA represent key pillars of this strategy. These projects are envisioned as Pakistan’s equivalent of Silicon Valley, with the potential to transform the country’s IT landscape and drive economic prosperity throughout the region.
RUDA’s participation at the Shanghai Expo serves as a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to establishing itself as a dynamic destination for investment and a burgeoning technological powerhouse.
